Christmas is right around the corner, and the festive spirit is definitely in the air across the land.
That means spending time with loved ones and showing them how much they matter, and sometimes that means having a little bit of mischievous fun with them.
The Denver Broncos decided to go that route when they “unveiled” an alternate jersey that was inspired by classic ugly holiday sweaters.
They set it up so that their players would be led into thinking they would actually be wearing the uniforms when the Broncos visit the Los Angeles Rams on Christmas Day.
Some of the players hated the idea, but others could tell they were being set up.

It Was A Brief Respite From A Terrible Season
Over the spring and summer, Broncos fans thought their team would be contending for a spot in the Super Bowl after the blockbuster trade for future Hall of Fame quarterback Russell Wilson.
Instead, Denver’s season has been a never-ending series of injuries, miscues, misfortunes and ineptitude.
It started in Week 1 when the team allowed the clock to run down in the final minute of the fourth quarter trailing by one and facing a fourth down, only to lose to the Seattle Seahawks.
Before long, it became clear that the Broncos’ offense was about as bad as any NFL offense has been in a long time, as it currently ranks last in points scored.
Of course, there have been injuries, such as the ones to wide receivers Tim Patrick and Courtland Sutton, pass rusher Randy Gregory and running back Javonte Williams.
The Broncos are now 4-10, and a playoff spot is out of the question for them.
At this point, everyone in the organization and all of their fans would gladly wear an embarrassingly ugly holiday sweater or jersey if it meant magically turning what has transpired over the last several months into a winning season.
