Christian McCaffrey was traded to the 49ers from the Carolina Panthers on October 20.
In exchange for McCaffrey, the Panthers received three picks in the 2023 draft, and one in the 2024 draft.
After being dealt mid-season, McCaffrey was left to learn the 49ers playbook very quickly, a tall task for a player at any position.
Thanks to Purdy’s hospitality and direction, McCaffrey assimilated to coach Kyle Shanahan’s offense quickly and was able to learn the tricks of the trade promptly.
The McCaffrey Effect
When fully healthy, McCaffrey is a true difference-maker in any offense.
McCaffrey is one of the best pass-catching running backs in the league.
So far this season, McCaffrey is the 12th-leading rusher in the league but has missed five games.
McCaffrey is also second in overall running back receptions, with 68.
With McCaffrey now on the 49ers, they have yet another fantastic offensive weapon to utilize for the remainder of this season, along with the postseason.
The 49ers are a tough out this season.
Along with a potent offense, their defense also allows the fewest points in the league.
They are one of the main teams to watch in what will be an exciting postseason.
