The New York Giants were not expected to do much this season.
With a new head coach and the same turnover-prone QB in Daniel Jones, the expectations were another last-place finish in the NFC East.
But, that has not been the case through six weeks of the 2022 season.
Believe it or not, the Giants are 5-1 this year and have wins over the Packers, Ravens, and Titans.
Many people have been waiting for the collapse of the Giants, but they continue to win games.
Look no further than the head coach, Brian Daboll, as the reason for the turnaround in New York.
Daboll came to New York after being the Bills’ offensive coordinator.
He seems to be getting the best out of Jones through six weeks of the season.
Jones has thrown five touchdowns with two interceptions this year and is completing a career-high 67.3% of his passes.
Also, the 25-year-old QB has yet to fumble the ball this year.
The Giants seem more disciplined and are taking better care of the ball than in seasons past.
Many people thought this team was going to struggle this year because their roster is bad.
The New York Giants are bad. They didn't pick up their QB's fifth-year option because he's bad. He's been under pressure more than any other QB because the OL is bad. Their receiving corps is injury-battered and nameless and bad.
Give Brian Daboll Coach of the Year right now.

It is rare to see a turnaround happen this fast in the NFL.
The Giants only won four games last season and now have five through six weeks.
The only loss the Giants suffered this year was to their division rival, the Dallas Cowboys.
So it will be interesting to see if the Giants can keep up the good play when they still have tough games ahead.
New York has two games against the Eagles, one game against Dallas, and one game against the Vikings.
It will be interesting to see if the Giants are for real and if they can return to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
