After a three-game sweep over the New York Mets this weekend at Truist Park, the Atlanta Braves have finally taken command in the NL East division.
After the Mets led the division for the better part of the season, the Braves have gotten hot and have overcome a massive deficit to unseat the Mets at the top.
Now, just a win for the Braves or a loss for the Mets will secure the fifth straight division title in Atlanta.
With the Braves on the verge of capturing another banner, shortstop Dansby Swanson commented on the standard in Atlanta and what is expected of the team year in and year out.
With the Braves on the verge of their fifth straight NL East title, Dansby Swanson said: “Winning is the goal here. That’s kind of the standard. We’re going to continue to do our best to uphold that.”

Braves Set Sights On Another Title
Winning should always be the goal, and it’s clear that that is the mission in Atlanta.
After winning the World Series a season ago, they want more.
One ring isn’t going to be enough to satisfy their needs.
It’s clear that they’re hungry for more and will stop at nothing to make certain that another parade takes place in Atlanta at the end of the World Series.
Fans want it too.
They got a good taste of it last October and are begging for more to come.
But it mainly speaks to the culture of the Braves’ organization.
This is an organization that prides itself on being one of the best teams in baseball and having a chance to compete for a World Series title year in and year out.
The goal remains the same in 2022.
Winning one ring clearly hasn’t changed anything, nor has it made them complacent.
Winning the division will just be the first step in what the Braves hope is another championship run.
