The New York Mets shocked the entire world with their late seven-run comeback against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Phils had led 7-0 in the top of the sixth inning before the Mets scratched out a run.
But in the ninth, chaos broke loose, and the Mets came storming back, shocking the crowd at Citizens Bank Park and taking the series opener from the Phillies.
Needless to say, the Mets were all smiles after their dramatic come-from-behind victory.
Outfielder Brandon Nimmo was asked about how the Mets were able to pull it off, and he had some very important advice for any team facing that big of a deficit in the latter stages of a game.
Brandon Nimmo: "If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else is going to."

Sage Advice
This is great advice.
And clearly, the Mets had that mindset as they went into the ninth trailing 7-1.
It’s true though.
Had the Mets not believed in themselves, there’s no chance this comeback would have been possible.
But that’s why you play the games up until the final out.
You never know what’s going to happen.
Even a six-run lead in the ninth inning isn’t safe when you’re going up against these Mets.
It was certainly a wild ride, but also a momentum and confidence-builder.
It’s clear that the Mets are taking on the attitude of a team that believes they are the best in all of baseball.
If New York had any doubters, those critics have been silenced, at least for now.
The Mets are on an absolute warpath.
Any team is going to have a tough challenge when facing these Mets.
They’re out to prove to the baseball world that they are a good team capable of winning the World Series.
