In addition to actually having a chance to see Timmy Trumpet play his solo live when Edwin Diaz entered the game, the New York Mets and their fans got to experience yet another exciting moment.
In the top of the seventh inning, just before Timmy got to play the trumpet, Brandon Nimmo made the highlight-reel play of the night.
The Mets led the Los Angeles Dodgers by the score of 2-1 with one out and Justin Turner at the plate.
Turner blasted one out to center field and it looked like it was going to clear the wall and tie the game for Los Angeles.
But Nimmo had other plans, as he reached up and pulled it down for an impressive home run robbery.

Nimmo Saves The Game
Mets fans got a double bonus last night.
Timmy Trumpet’s solo may have stolen the show later in the game, but Nimmo’s catch was quite literally a game saver.
That would have tied the game for the Dodgers.
But Nimmo crashed into the wall and pulled it down to keep the Mets in the lead.
The crowd went wild, Jacob deGrom showed his appreciation, and Nimmo himself got a chance to enjoy the moment, going a little crazy himself as he pulled down what would have been the game-tying home run.
This is what baseball is all about.
We’re in the home stretch of the season and we’re right in the middle of the pennant race.
Big moments like this are what give baseball so much intensity and excitement.
They’re all certainly feeling it in New York, and that play was just further evidence of that.
That play saved the game and brought Mets fans to their feet.
