Bones Hyland of the Denver Nuggets is quickly becoming one of the most exciting young rookies in the NBA.
Not only does he have the best name in the league, but he also has some serious skills and creates the sort of youthful and fun plays that light up SportsCenter and also cause serious problems for opponents.
Hyland was in fine form Monday night as his Nuggets went against the Philadelphia 76ers and helped them win, 114-110.

Hyland produced 21 points and 4 rebounds in Monday’s game.
Perhaps more impressively, he hit four fourth-quarter three-pointers to help lift the Nuggets over the 76ers.
It was a special night for Hyland – made even better by the fact that some very special guests were on hand to watch it.
Hyland’s Heroes
Nearly four years ago, Hyland’s NBA future was put at serious risk because of a terrifying house fire.
His home in Wilmington, Delaware went up in flames and Hyland was forced to leap out of a second-story window.
The jump injured his right knee, which meant the chances of playing professional basketball became less likely.
However, through hard work and dedication, Hyland overcame his injury and is now playing at the stunning levels he is today.
Hyland has repeatedly said that the firefighters who arrived that night saved his life and he wouldn’t be around without them.
Some of those first responders were on hand Monday night, watching Hyland light up the scoreboard like he never has before.
It’s undeniable that Hyland was feeling himself even more because he knew that special crew was there, cheering him on.
They had every reason to cheer because Hyland sure is something special and is only getting better.
