Linebacker Bobby Wagner still has much football left in him even if he has already played ten NFL seasons.
In 2021, the former Utah State standout had a career-high 170 total tackles to go with five passes defended, a sack, and an interception for the Seattle Seahawks.
Yet even with those numbers, the team decided that it would be better to part ways with the eight-time Pro Bowler.
That’s why Wagner had a number of suitors once his playing days in Seattle were over.
He can still help any team he will join, especially in covering the middle of the field.
While several NFL squads would like to have a six-time First-Team All-Pro like Wagner, it seems like one team is emerging as the frontrunner to acquire his services.

CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson tweeted, “I’m told that Bobby Wagner and the #Ravens are “still talking,” per league source. That’s definitely positive, yet still fluid.”
Anderson didn’t validate that the Ravens had the best chance of hiring the 31-year-old linebacker.
However, she did point out that ongoing talks are a positive sign that Wagner might strongly consider Baltimore.
That development got Ravens’ strong safety Tony Jefferson II excited by tweeting “let’s goo @Bwagz!”
Deepening The Ravens’ Depth Chart At Linebacker
The Ravens need any help they can get especially after a season wherein a lot of their key defensive players got injured.
Having Wagner will also give them a player with limitless football smarts.
As of writing, Tyus Bowser, Malik Harrison, Patrick Queen, and Odafe Oweh are the team’s projected starters at linebacker based on their 3-4 defense.
Oweh proved to be a sensation during his rookie season with 23 tackles, five sacks, and three forced fumbles.
Bowser had 33 tackles and seven sacks while Queen had 68 tackles last season.
If Wagner will join the team, he will likely take Harrison’s spot because he only had 14 tackles in 2021.
