By now, the moment where a Toronto Blue Jays fan caught Aaron Judge‘s home run ball and gave it to a young Yankees fan has gone viral.

The fan made the ultimate sacrifice when he saw the disappointment on the kid’s face and performed a lovely act of kindness to make the kid happy.

The name of the fan who originally obtained the ball is Mike Lanzillotta, and he was interviewed about the special moment following the end of the game by The Athletic.

He had the perfect quote.

“I spilled my beer, but it was worth it,” Lanzillotta said when asked about his kind gesture.

Everyone saw the video.

A Blue Jays fan's act of kindness brought a young Yankees fan to tears.@kaitlyncmcgrath spoke to both about the special moment.

Kindness Over Beer

This is a hilarious quote.

Now we know that in addition to being kind to a kid and making his day, Lanzillotta has a great sense of humor.

But it looks like he sacrificed more than that home run ball to make the kid’s dream come true.

He even set his beer aside.

He no longer cared about enjoying a nice little refreshment during the game.

He just went all out for the home run ball and then chose to make a kid’s day.

That’s dedication right there.

To no longer care about his beer and go for the baseball at all costs shows his determination to get the ball.

But he did something even better and chose kindness, even after going after that ball.

His quote to describe the situation was perfect.

It’s always a shame when someone spills their beer, but it’s nice and heartwarming that he put that out of his mind and ultimately chose to do the right thing.

It was worth spilling his beer to give the kid a moment he’ll never forget.
