The Buffalo Bills were eliminated from the playoffs by the Cincinnati Bengals.
There are a few facets to the Bills’ game plan that could have been the motivating factors for their loss, including the weather, poor quarterback play, and the defense not being able to stop the Bengals’ rushing attack.
One of the Bills’ veteran defenders came up with a conclusion of his own.
"I've never been on a team this resilient… guys continued to fight and fight. A lot of it motivated us but at the end, we just ran out of gas." – Micah Hyde on what he learned about this team following a year filled with a number of obstacles. #Bills

Throughout the Bills’ season, they faced their fair share of hardship.
Early on in the season, they lost linebacker Von Miller due to injury, and of course, Damar Hamlin‘s traumatic injury was at the forefront of their minds as well.
However, as Micah Hyde alludes, the team simply was unable to keep up.
For whatever reason, it seems as though the Bills ran out of energy to complete the season, which was, at least in Hyde’s mind, the reason they were eliminated from the playoffs.
After their elimination, the Bills will now look to 2023, building on the success they were able to find this season.
Josh Allen could certainly use a new offensive weapon or two, which could be a contributing factor for the Bills next year.
Stefon Diggs has been great, and at times, Dawson Knox has been a reliable option at tight end as well.
However, the Bills haven’t been able to find a true number-two receiver to rely on, especially in their biggest moments.
Whether it be via the draft or free agency, chances are, the Bills will likely be on the hunt for a new offensive contributor.
