The NFL world has been on bated breath, waiting for any sort of update on Buffalo Bills cornerback Damar Hamlin.
Hamlin has been in critical condition since Monday night, and although a few small updates have come out, nothing definitive has been said.
That changed after the Bills came out with a statement this morning.

It appears that Hamlin has made marked improvements in the past day or so.
One of the main concerns with Hamlin was his neurological functions, given that he received CPR for so long.
The human brain needs oxygen to operate normally.
The worry was because Hamlin didn’t have oxygen flowing normally, his neurological function would never return to normalcy.
While Hamlin isn’t out of the woods yet, hopefully, Bills players and fans alike can see this update and rejoice, given that it is incredibly positive news.
Additional reporting has since come out in the last several minutes, and this is an ever-developing story,
Damar Hamlin has been gripping the hands of those close to him. Another very positive sign. https://t.co/GpabbnqTWm

Not only has Hamlin opened his eyes, but he has also been reported to squeeze the hands of those around him, and even opened his eyes last night.
An incredible marvel for Hamlin and his family, alongside all of his teammates.
Over the course of the last three days, so much has been said about Hamlin’s condition, and the ultimate kudos and praise should be given to the medical staff at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for all of the hard work and dedication that they have given Hamlin during this difficult time.
