The Buffalo Bills have won the last two AFC East titles.
They are undoubtedly the current kings of the division, thanks to having stellar players on both sides of the ball.
Quarterback Josh Allen is their undisputed leader on offense and he commands the likes of Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, Gabriel Davis, Emmanuel Sanders, Dawson Knox, and Devin Singletary.
Meanwhile, they had the number one-ranked defense at the end of the regular season because of Gregory Rousseau, Matt Milano, Tre’Davious White, Micah Hyde, and Jordan Poyer.
The Bills were 13 seconds away from a second consecutive AFC Championship Game, if not for Patrick Mahomes‘ heroics.
But before that game, the Bills destroyed the division rival New England Patriots in the Wild Card Game, 47-17.
Yet while Buffalo is shaping up to be the team to beat in the AFC East with Allen at the helm, they won’t catch up to the Patriots’ reign of dominance.
New England won all but two division titles from 2001 to 2019.
More importantly, this tweet by Sunday Night Football on NBC highlights the Patriots’ supremacy since Bill Belichick became their head coach.

The tweet reveals that since 2000, the Patriots have 30 playoff victories, including six Super Bowl titles.
Combine the postseason wins by the Bills, the New York Jets, and the Miami Dolphins throughout that stretch and it won’t be even half of what New England has.
The Brady-Belichick Empire Was Special
In this age of free agency, it’s hard for a team to achieve sustained dominance over two decades.
Somehow, the Patriots found a way because of Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady.
Brady became the team’s starter in 2001 and won three MVP awards as the Patriots’ starter.
He was also part of an All-Pro team five times and the Pro Bowl 14 times as a Patriot.
With Brady and Belichick together, you always had a feeling that they would find a way to win.
Super Bowl LI alone is enough proof that they gave the Patriots a chance every time they took the field.
