The Buffalo Bills defense only allowed 14 points Monday night against the New England Patriots.
But it was not good enough as the Buffalo offense only managed 10 points in the awful conditions.
The problem was the Bills defense allowing 222 rushing yards on a night when Mac Jones only threw three passes.
They knew the run was coming, but could not do much to shut it down.
Bills defenders Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde went to the podium following the loss to answer questions from the media.
Obviously, they were in a sour mood following such a tough defeat.
That may explain why they stormed out after a question from a reporter.

Poyer and Hyde were asked if they were embarrassed for losing a game in which a quarterback only attempted three passes.
Both seemed to take that extremely personally and decided to walk out.
Was this warranted?
A Tense Moment In Buffalo
Asking NFL players if they are embarrassed following a 14-10 loss may be out of line, but it is not a controversial ask.
The problem may be veteran Buffalo reporter Jerry Sullivan simply being under the skin of the players at this point.
Hyde walks off podium at end and stops to look back at Jerry Sullivan, who asked question… and says.
"I come here every week and answer your questions truthfully, honestly. I appreciate you guys. Don't do that."#Bills

This may have also been Sullivan’s theme of the night, as he asked Sean McDermott the same question.
Jerry Sullivan asks McDermott if it's embarrassing how the #Bills lost.
"I'm embarrassed every time we lose. And I expect all the guys would feel the same."

There may have been a better way for Sullivan to phrase this question.
But it is fair to ask how the players are feeling after not being able to effectively stop the run all night.
Yes, the Bills allowed 222 rushing yards with only 19 passing yards allowed.
Yet it was enough for New England to win and Damien Harris also had a 64-yard touchdown run in the first quarter when the Patriots’ gameplan was evident.
The Bills are clearly frustrated after dropping to 7-5 on the season.
They are now two games back of the Patriots in the AFC East in what was supposed to be an easy division to win for Buffalo.
Things don’t get easier as the Bills take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 14.
A loss there may mean reporters have to tread lightly with all postgame questions.
