The Los Angeles Rams pulled out an improbable Thursday Night Football victory last night over the Las Vegas Raiders.
After having the Rams’ playbook for less than 48 hours, new quarterback Baker Mayfield led a masterclass performance in the two-minute drill, which ultimately led to this unlikely victory.

Without the services of wideout Cooper Kupp, Mayfield needed to turn to some less-recognized pass catchers in order to make this final drive happen.
This 98-yard, game-winning drive was capped off by a touchdown catch to Van Jefferson.
Coming into this game, Jefferson only had 11 receptions on the year.
This clearly didn’t matter to his new quarterback, as Mayfield trusted him enough with the ball in his hands to catch the game-winner.
Mayfield By The Numbers
Maybe all he needed was a new team.
Last night, Mayfield was 22/35 for 230 yards, with one touchdown pass and no interceptions.
As portrayed in last night’s final drive, Mayfield seemed to be energized on his new roster and had some immediate connections with his receivers.
With a depleted receiver room, Mayfield will have to work with players like Jefferson, Ben Skowronek, and Tutu Atwell.
In last night’s game, Atwell and Skowronek combined for 12 receptions.
Mayfield may be the best opportunity for these young players to prove themselves for the rest of the season, especially with Kupp out for the season.
The Rams are slated to play the Green Bay Packers in Week 15, which happens to be a Monday Night Football matchup.
With a full week-and-a-half to prepare with this Rams offense, will Mayfield be able to pull off yet another victory?
