Baker Mayfield’s NFL career has been something of a whirlwind.
He began in 2018 when he was selected by the Cleveland Browns as the number one overall pick.
However, his career left something to be desired, and Mayfield was traded to the Carolina Panthers in 2022.
Mayfield was then sent to the Los Angeles Rams mid-season, where he was able to start four games for the Rams.
His performances recently landed him a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he will presumably be their starter.
Shortly after he signed with the Buccaneers, Mayfield posted a quick message on the Buccaneers’ Twitter page.

“Just signed the contract, and am ready to get to work,” said Mayfield.
When Tom Brady retired, the Buccaneers were slated to turn to Kyle Trask as their starter.
However, Trask has limited NFL experience and is entering his third season in the league.
Even though Mayfield hasn’t necessarily found the success that was expected of him, he is getting another shot in Tampa Bay.
With any luck, Mayfield will be able to establish rapport with his receivers, and he can find a new home on the Buccaneers.
Moving from Brady to Mayfield will be a strange adjustment, especially for many Buccaneers fans.
Mayfield is just 27 years old.
In the right system, he should be able to change his ways and adjust to a new coaching staff.
Will the Buccaneers be the right fit for Mayfield, who has been a part of three different teams in the last five years?
