Former Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers quarterback Baker Mayfield has had a rollercoaster of an NFL career.
He was formerly picked number one overall in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns and was released by the Panthers earlier this week.
An unfortunate fall from grace for Mayfield.
Baker Mayfield went from wanting $250MM from the Browns to being cut by the Panthers in 18 months.

While playing for the Browns, Mayfield had initially sought a $250 million contract.
After not receiving this contract, he was traded to the Panthers, lasting just over five months on the team before his eventual release.
Upon seeing the career thus far for Mayfield, we wanted to take a look at the former number one overall draft picks, and how they have succeeded.
2012-2022 Number One Overall Draft Picks: Where Are They Now?
From a high-level summary, just one of these 11 players is no longer in the league.
Andrew Luck, former Indianapolis Colt, retired from the NFL after a seven-year NFL career.
While Luck was successful in the league, he did suffer from injuries that ultimately led to his early retirement.
Besides Luck, there have been six other quarterbacks that have been taken first overall in this 11-year span.
Mayfield, along with Jameis Winston, do not have starting jobs at the moment.
However, Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence, Jared Goff, and Kyler Murray all have starting jobs this season, and are playing up to the hype of being picked number one overall.
The non-quarterbacks are Jadeveon Clowney, Eric Fisher, Myles Garrett, and Travon Walker.
Each of those players are a dominant force on their respective teams.
Let’s see if Baker can reclaim any sort of glory, assuming he is claimed off of waivers.
