The Los Angeles Lakers are usually known for attracting big-name superstars in free agency and using their talent to win NBA Championships.
But that doesn’t mean the Lakers do not have the talent to find unpolished gems and turn them into legitimate stars.
The most recent example of it was how Austin Reaves developed into a crucial member of the team.
Despite having a breakout season last year, many doubted the decision of the Lakers to award a contract extension to Reaves.
Well, Austin Reaves addressed his doubters via Lakeshow on Twitter.
“That hunger is for sure still there,” Reaves said.

Reaves averaged 13.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game in the 2022-23 NBA season.
Reaves had a solid regular season with the Lakers and took things up a notch in the playoffs.
He put up 16.9 points. 4.4 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game in the postseason.
Reaves’ breakout season was more than enough for the Lakers to offer him a multi-year contract extension.
He signed a four-year, $53.8 million contract with the team.
Reaves is expected to be one of the starting guards for the Lakers next season.
As for Reaves’ doubters, all signs point to him continuing to improve and being an important part of the Lakers’ plans this season.
