A Show Of Class
This is a classy move by Crane.
It’s important for teams and their fans to take time to appreciate their players, especially former players, and such is the case here with Crane and Correa.
Correa certainly left his mark on the Astros organization, winning Rookie of the Year in 2015, a Gold Glove and a Platinum Glove, being named to the AL All-Star squad twice, and winning a World Series in 2017, which can be debated by fans given what the Astros did to get to that title.
Regardless, Correa is one of the best players in all of baseball and it’s important to for the Astros to recognize the lasting impact he had on the organization.
Houston certainly will look different without their star shortstop.
After all, he has been at the center of all the great moments in recent Astros history.
Crane could have been bitter about the whole situation, but he instead chose to take the high road and thank Correa for his contributions to the Astros organization and wishing him the best in Minnesota.
