With Game 3 of the World Series being postponed last night due to rain, MLB adjusted the series schedule, pushing everything, including the off day after Game 5 and the dates for Games 6 and 7, back by one day.
Tonight, the Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies will finally square off in Game 3 of the series.
Thursday night marks an interesting occurrence.
That night will be Game 5 of the World Series.
Meanwhile, back in Houston, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Houston Texans will square off in the NFL’s Thursday Night Football showcase.
This marks the seventh time that a World Series game will take place on the same day as an NFL game, with both metro areas being involved, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
The Eagles and Texans will meet on Thursday night in Houston while the Phillies and Astros are scheduled to play World Series Game 5 in Philadelphia.

MLB, NFL Set To Make History
Thursday night will be a historic night for both Major League Baseball and the National Football League.
Not only will there be a World Series game between a Houston team and a Philadelphia team taking place in the City of Brotherly Love, but in Houston, the same thing will be happening with two NFL teams, each from the same cities as the two teams in the Fall Classic.
Again, this is only the seventh time that this has ever happened.
Fans in both cities are going to have a lot to look forward to on Thursday night.
It’s always possible too that Game 5 could be a potential clincher, unless the series is tied at two games apiece.
But regardless of the scenario, fans and both cities will have their eyes on two different sporting events.
This should be fun.
