The Dallas Cowboys finished the regular season with a record of 12-5.
Of those 12 wins, eight of them have come at home, and only four on the road.
Also, their points per game at home this season is 30.0 while they average 24.6 points on the road.
Other than playing in unfamiliar surroundings, the Cowboys have struggled on grass fields this season.
The #Cowboys have been a different team on artificial turf compared to grass. They’re a dome team with defensive emphasis on speed rushers.
They have an 11-1 record on artificial turf _ with 25 takeaways and 42 sacks. On grass, they’re 1-4 with 8 takeaways and just 12 sacks.

Their 1-4 record on grass is concerning because the Cowboys will most likely have to play three road games on grass to reach the Super Bowl.
It is easier to move on turf, such as cut in and out of breaks, and that has helped the Cowboys on both sides of the ball.
But, the Cowboys should be more worried about the weather conditions, than the surface of the field.
The wind and temperature are both bigger factors in any given game than the field.
When it comes to the playoffs, the good teams do not worry about playing on turf or grass.
It just comes down to execution against your opponent.
Head coach Mike McCarthy is not worried about his team’s recent struggles on grass or playing on it Monday night.
Cowboys to play Monday night on grass vs. Buccaneers in Tampa, Fla., but coach Mike McCarthy said the team will practice indoors today on account of strong wind in Frisco. “Eighteen mph winds, 25-30 mph gusts. It’s going to be 2 miles an hour Monday night.” pic.twitter.com/jggAMP7mkO

The last time the Cowboys played in Tampa Bay was Week 1 of the 2021 season.
In that game, Dak Prescott threw for 403 yards and three touchdown passes.
Dallas scored 29 points and they showed no ill signs of playing on grass.
All in all, the Cowboys should not be worried about playing on grass this postseason.
There are plenty of other factors that go into why they are 1-4 on grass this year.
But, if they lose this game on Monday night it will not be due to the surface.
