It had been a while since former NFL superstar Antonio Brown made the headlines.
But contrary to what most people would expect coming from him, this time isn’t bad news at all.
Brown reportedly purchased the Albany Empire of the National Arena League, stating that he’s giving back to the community by acquiring the team where his father starred.
The erratic wideout claims that his old man, Eddie ‘Touchdown’ Brown was the best AFL player ever over Kurt Warner, which is why he felt so excited about making this acquisition.

However, it’s worth noting that Brown’s father actually played for the Albany/Indiana Firebirds of the AFL, which is an entirely different team and league.
This doesn’t strike as much of a surprise, as Brown hasn’t exactly been at his best when it comes to decision-making over the past couple of years.
His playing days with the Pittsburgh Steelers were full of praise, and some even put the franchise on blast for letting such an impactful player go.
Then, his antics with the Las Vegas Raiders were just the first step in a long way of inexplicable behavior that included assault accusations, some suits, a one-sided feud with the New England Patriots, some odd criticism of Tom Brady, and even walking away from the field in the middle of an actual NFL game.
So, all things considered, I guess we should just be glad that Brown is safe and sound and he didn’t make the headlines for another altercation with the law.NEXT: Chargers GM May Have Tipped His Hand On Draft Day Plans
