A fascinating story dropped recently in which a former personal chef for Antonio Brown claimed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout was trying to get a fake COVID-19 vaccination card.
That is obviously a serious claim and Brown said it was not true.
Thus, the story died down and the attention returned to the status of Brown’s injured ankle.
Well, the Brown saga continues as the NFL has suspended him three games for reportedly lying about his vaccination status.
#Bucs WR Antonio Brown and Mike Edwards have each been suspended without pay for the next three games for misrepresenting their vaccination status under the NFL-NFLPA COVID-19 Protocol. They have accepted the discipline and waived their right of appeal.

“Misrepresenting” is the term here, but that would seem to indicate Brown’s former chef was telling the truth all along.
The situation adds another layer as the receiver’s lawyer claims Brown is indeed vaccinated.

So is he vaccinated or not?
That does not matter now as he is set to be suspended for three games without any plan to appeal.
The lack of an appeal may tell the whole story.
An Odd Twist In The Story
The Buccaneers are a team that does not want to put up with any distractions.
The main problem here is Brown apparently lying, but it goes deeper than that if he put teammates, coaches, or staff members at risk of contracting COVID-19.
Some fans on social media are trying to compare this to Aaron Rodgers‘ situation, but the quarterback claims the team knew his status.
That is not the case with Brown.
The veteran receiver was already ruled out for the next two games so a three-game suspension will not hurt the team much on the field this month.
It will just hurt Brown’s bank account more than anything else.
Buccaneers fans will also have to wait and see if the team will even insert him back into the lineup after he seemingly lied to everyone in the organization.
