We’re all desperate for some good baseball content as the MLB lockout drags on.
But fear not fans, there is some good content out there despite these trying times.
Assuming most people have seen “Happy Gilmore”, the famous golf movie starring Adam Sandler, the classic movie where an Average Joe turns into a golf legend and wins a professional golf tournament, then most should probably be able to surmise what Anthony Rizzo is up to right now given his latest video.
Of course, there’s that hilarious scene where Happy enters a batting cage and steps in front of home plate, letting each pitch from the pitching machine hit him directly in the chest in order to test his pain threshold.
That’s what Rizzo is doing here in a hilarious scene.

What’s Next For Rizzo?
It’s great to see Rizzo having fun here, and it’s great that we still have some content to enjoy while the lockout drags on.
Rizzo’s just getting in shape for the 2022 season, whenever it begins.
He’s simply showing that right now, he’s got plenty of options given that he’s a free agent.
If the season is delayed, he could simply turn into Happy Gilmore and become a golf legend.
However, on a more serious note, the universal DH has been added, and Rizzo now has plenty of options baseball-wise too.
He could sign with a National League team to be a DH, perhaps even his old club, the Chicago Cubs.
Plenty of teams could use his services in 2022.
If the Braves lose Freddie Freeman, it’s possible we could see Atlanta turn to Rizzo as a fallback option.
But it would be great to see the real life coming of Happy Gilmore.
