Los Angeles Angels fans can certainly use all kinds of content that gives them a bit of hope for the 2023 season.
It’s the last year they will get to enjoy Shohei Ohtani before he hits free agency, unless he is extended.
If the organization doesn’t show him they can put together a winning, competitive team around him, he will most likely bail after the World Series.
But there is still a chance he decides to stay in LA, with the Angels.
Fans always say that the Angels will go as far as Ohtani and Mike Trout get them, but that’s not necessarily true.
In fact, if we factor in expectations, Anthony Rendon is the X-factor.
He has had a good start to his spring training campaign, which is music for Angels fans’ ears.
Here are some highlights that will get them excited.

It’s not just the sole fact that Rendon hit a home run: it’s that he looks healthy and his bat speed looks like it’s back.
Injuries and bad performance affected him in recent seasons.
After winning the 2019 World Series with the Washington Nationals and starring on that team, he left via free agency to LA.
He signed a mammoth seven-year, $245 million pact with the Angels.
His first season in Los Angeles was a very successful one, as he had a .915 OPS in the pandemic year.
However, a series of unfortunate physical issues limited him to a .712 OPS in 2021 and a .706 mark last year.
The 32-year-old infielder has the potential to be the much-needed third star in the Angels’ puzzle.
