Anthony Rendon was brought to the Los Angeles Angels to help strengthen an already powerful lineup and help turn the team into a legitimate postseason contender.
However, injuries have limited his playing time with his new team.
He was limited to just 58 games a season ago, hitting just .240 with six home runs and 34 RBI.
This year, things haven’t been much better.
He’s played in just 45 games so far this season and he’s hitting a mere .228 with five home runs and 24 RBI, with injuries again creating problems for the slugger.
According to Sam Blum of The Athletic, Rendon is feeling discomfort both at the plate and out in the field.
Anthony Rendon said he's feeling discomfort on both hitting/fielding.
"We're just going figure it out, see how it is on a daily basis. Try and get treatment every day, & see how it feels in the morning."
Unclear if this is something that will continue to bother him long-term.

Rendon Plagued By Injuries
This is tough news for the Angels, who are just trying to get things right after an epic 14-game losing skid took them on a plunge in the standings.
This is not good for Rendon either.
He’s been scratching and clawing to get back to where he was in 2019, when he put up MVP-type numbers and was one of the key factors in the Washington Nationals’ historic run to their first ever World Series title.
He has not been the same since hitting .319 with 34 homers and 126 RBI in his final year with the Nats.
If healthy, he can be a real difference maker, but he has been undone by injuries over the past few seasons.
The fact that he’s feeling discomfort on both sides of the ball is troubling for both him and the Angels.
A healthy Rendon could help get the Angels back on track.
Instead, these nagging issues could continue to plague Rendon long-term.
We’ll see if he can recover quickly and get back on track.
