The Los Angeles Lakers couldn’t hold on to a ten-point lead and dropped a crucial game at home on Sunday.
The New York Knicks did an outstanding job of keeping Anthony Davis out of rhythm, holding him to 17 points on 18 shots, and giving him a tough game with physicality.
Notably, that’s one of the reasons why he’s openly admitted that he doesn’t like playing center, but Darvin Ham and his teammates needed him anchoring the paint now that LeBron James is out with an injury.
At least Davis has never shied away from criticism or holding himself accountable.
That’s why he was a little too hard on him and claimed that he was to blame for the loss, stating that he had a terrible game overall.

Tom Thibodeau and the Knicks threw multiple different looks at Davis, and it sure drove him mad.
Mitchell Robinson, Isaiah Hartenstein, Julius Randle, and even Josh Hart did a solid job of forcing him to take tough shots, which eventually led to the win.
The Lakers have gone 7-3 in their last ten games and currently hold onto the 11th spot in the Western Conference.
They’re tied with the Utah Jazz, New Orleans Pelicans, and Oklahoma City Thunder with the exact same record, but the Jazz and Thunder currently hold the tiebreaker over them.
However, they could still finish as high as fourth if they continue this hot streak, which is why they cannot afford to keep losing games at home.
