Anna Duggar was once best known for her appearances on the TLC show, 19 Kids and Counting, which followed her husband’s family as they navigated life as a very large homeschooling Christian family.
Her name has recently become synonymous with her husband’s name due to his sexual abuse case.
Throughout the multiple scandals and court cases that have arisen, she has been determined to stay loyal to her husband and support him through the most challenging part of his life.
What Is Anna Duggar’s Net Worth?
Anna Duggar has a net worth of $50,000, which she earned through her time on 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On before TLC canceled the series completely.
However, her net worth may decrease rapidly if her husband is found guilty along with the potential sentencing.
Duggar was born in South Florida on June 23rd of 1988 to Suzette Keller and Michael E. Keller, with whom she was always extremely close.
Once a week, the Keller siblings would have 15-minute meetings with their parents to discuss how their lives were going and the struggles they were currently facing.
Like her husband, Anna Duggar grew up in a large family, being the fifth of the Kellers’ eight children.
She has four sisters and three brothers.
Duggar has always been closest to her sister, Susanna.
Growing up the children of a prison chaplain, they were raised with strict Christian values and were educated by their parents.
This meant that the children had to ask permission before deciding to court someone and could only date someone if they intended to marry them.
After meeting Josh Duggar at a homeschooling conference, she expressed her love for him to her mother before the families made arrangements for the two teenagers to date.
Once in a relationship, the number of rules that were to be followed increased.
The rules originally put in place proved to be challenging when considering what became of Josh Duggar who is accused of sexual abuse.
The financial struggles that the couple has faced since Duggar was exposed have forced them to sell their family home that they had recently renovated and move back in with different family members.
Appearing On 19 Kids And Counting
Anna Duggar appeared in many of the episodes of 19 Kids and Counting, starting in 2008 with the episode Josh Gets Engaged.
The audience was actually able to see their proposal thanks to a hidden camera that was set up at Gator Landing, the restaurant where Anna was having dinner with her parents when Josh Duggar surprised her and proposed.
The next episode that Anna Duggar played a large role in was Duggar Dating Rules.
During this episode, viewers would learn that the Duggar children are not allowed to touch their significant others until they’re engaged, must save their first kiss for their wedding, and are never allowed to be alone with their significant others until they’re married.
During the episode Once a Bride, Always a Duggar, viewers got an inside look at the planning of Anna and Josh Duggar’s wedding.
The Duggar family feels that they must do everything together, especially when it comes to the planning of a celebratory event such as a wedding.
Their wedding was also a televised event, being featured on the 2009 episode A Very Duggar Wedding.
Chaos ensues as the Duggar parents wrangle the rest of the Duggar siblings together for the wedding.
Within that same year, Anna Duggar and her husband moved out of his family’s home and moved into their first home.
New Duggars on the Block walked viewers through their newly purchased home and the moving process.
Before the birth of Anna Duggar’s first child, Michelle Duggar took her daughter-in-law out to go consignment shopping and took her doctor appointments for the baby in the episode Duggars at the Doctors.
After Anna Duggar had her daughter, the family televised the Duggar siblings meeting the family’s first grandchild in the episode First GrandDuggar.
She would appear in many more episodes until the show’s end in 2015.
Her Appearances On Counting On
After 19 Kids and Counting was canceled, TLC tried to bring some of the Duggars back for their own show called Counting On in 2015.
Out of the 119 episodes that ran from 2015 until 2021, Anna Duggar appeared in 40 of them.
The first episode of Counting On that Anna Duggar appeared in was A New Chapter, in which sisters Jill and Jessa talk about the situation with their oldest brother and how his actions have affected them over the years.
While Anna Duggar and her children were freely allowed to be on the show, her husband was banned from the show over his molestation cases.
He is one of the few members of the family that you don’t see on Counting On, a move that fans of the family and show were glad to see.
In the episode Counting One More, Jessa and her husband Ben open up about going through the adoption process while belonging to a family that doesn’t believe in adoption due to their faith.
During the episode, Anna Duggar gives her sister-in-law her full support and wishes her the best of luck through the process.
The last episode that Anna Duggar appears in for the show is A New Life.
Although season 12 was planned, nobody knows what will happen to Counting On.
It is unclear at this time if we’ll be seeing the Duggars in their television show anytime soon or ever again.
Getting Her Education To Homeschool Her Children
Anna Duggar has always grown up around families that have homeschooled their children, and she knew from an early age that she wanted to do the same.
While growing up in the faith of her family, she was instilled with the importance of getting married, having children, and raising them in the same faith she and her siblings were raised in.
To become the best mother possible, she and her sisters went through an online Christian college program in early childhood development.
While Anna Duggar has never specified the type of degree she earned from this program, most have assumed that it was either an undergraduate program or an Associate’s Degree.
Just like her own mother and her mother-in-law, Anna Duggar has been determined to homeschool all seven of her own children.
When it comes to homeschooling, she gets all of her advice from her mother, mother-in-law, and other mothers who are veterans of homeschooling.
Although her children are still very young, Duggar often turns to the parents of older children who are part of the same faith as the Duggars.
She believes that the mothers of teenagers have more experience and are able to look back to make recommendations about what they did well or what they would have done differently.
Anna Duggar believes that homeschooling her children gives them additional bonding time that parents lose when sending their children to public school.
Before the court cases against her husband, Duggar would frequently post on social media about the joys of homeschooling.
These days, Anna Duggar has been quiet on social media, only posting to announce the birth of her 7th child.
Considering all that she and her family are going through, it makes sense that she would step back from social media.
Her Husband’s Sexual Abuse Case
The sexual abuse case against Anna Duggar’s husband may only have reached the public’s eye recently, but Josh Duggar has had police cases filed against him since March of 2002.
The first person to report his actions to the police was his father.
Jim Bob Duggar went to the police after he found out about his son.
In the 33-page report, about four or five incidents were reported.
In May of 2002, Jim Bob Duggar ran as a Republican candidate to represent Arkansas in the United States Senate.
His campaign focused on condemning rape and incest, stating that they should be seen as capital crimes and punished to the furthest extent of the law.
The Cheating Scandal
Anna Duggar has always followed the rules of having the kind of relationship she was promised, but it is clear that Josh Duggar has not shared the same loyalty to these rules or their marriage.
In 2015, Josh Duggar was one of thousands of cheating spouses who were outed when hackers released all the client information from Ashley Madison.
Ashley Madison was an online service that allowed married men to find women with whom they would silently and knowingly cheat on their spouses.
Despite publicly displaying as traditional a relationship as possible, Duggar had added a risky inclusion to his online information.
This included looking for only one-night stands and interests in experimenting with sexual paraphernalia.
The hacker had uncovered that Josh Duggar had two accounts on the infamous infidelity website and had spent $986.76 on the website.
Users of the website would be offered refunds if they didn’t have an affair within three months of their purchase of $250 or more.
To ensure that the billing wasn’t tied to him in any way, Josh Duggar used his grandmother’s Fayetteville address.
This was the same home that his first child was born in.
When the news of his cheating broke out, Josh Duggar was the executive director of the Family Research Council.
The Family Research Council is a conservative lobbying group that believes in and acts to promote the importance of traditional family structures.
Josh Duggar wasn’t asked to step down until 2015 when it was announced that he had sexually abused multiple victims, including his own sisters.
Once everything was brought to light, Josh Duggar released a public apology letter.
He claimed that he was a changed man since everything had occurred, but the public wasn’t convinced.
Anna Duggar has believed her husband and supported him through every scandal that has occurred.
Having To Sell Her Home
In order to try to pay for the overwhelming attorney fees, Anna Duggar was forced to sell the home that she had just renovated for her family.
They had bought the foreclosed house for only $55,000 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
The 3,000 square-foot house sat on a two-acre property only 13 miles away from Springdale, where most of the other Duggars live.
Their updated farmhouse was the first purchase they made after living in Washington, DC.
Their Siloam Springs home is pretty far removed from the rest of the world, with the closest stores being a Walmart six miles away and a Sam’s Club 13 miles away.
Instead of seeing the hustle and bustle of Washington DC, the Duggars were able to look out over the nearby national forest from their large, wrap-around porch.
The property featured a large playscape for the six children they had at the time and hills that were perfect for sledding.
The farmhouse features an open kitchen with bar seating, a formal dining room, and a nearby family room.
The house also has three bathrooms, including their master bathroom which features earth-toned tiles and marble counters to go with the tiles.
The house also features five bedrooms, with the six children splitting four of the rooms with bunk beds.
To pay their legal expenses, they originally put their farmhouse up on the market for $299,000.
After a month, they lowered the asking price to $289,000 after not getting any offers.
The couple ended up selling their home for $285,000.
Rebuilding the house reportedly allowed the couple to “save [their] marriage, focus on [their] children, and rebuild [their] lives together as a family”.
The Ongoing Court Case
At this time, the Josh Duggar case has been ongoing.
Anna Duggar’s husband has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

Jill Duggar was also there to testify about what her brother had done to her and her sisters when they were younger.
During one of the court trials, Anna Duggar quickly left the room when the court began to show the evidence at hand and got mad when the prosecutors accused Josh Duggar of using the same password for the dark web as the couple used for their family social media pages and online banking.
After the court case, Joy-Anna Duggar was there with coffee and emotional support for her sister-in-law.
Joy-Anna and Jinger Duggar had recently added their names to the lawsuit against Josh Duggar, joining their sisters Jill and Jessa Duggar.
If Josh Duggar is convicted, he will face 20 years in prison and $250,000 in fines for each count.
$250,000 is Josh and Anna Duggar’s collective net worth.
For the counts against his sisters alone, Josh Duggar will owe a minimum of $1 million in fines.
This leaves their future extremely uncertain because, should Josh Duggar be convicted, he will completely miss the upbringing of his children and put his family in deep legal debt.
His defense is attempting to convince the court to let Josh Duggar stay with a third-party guardian away from children instead but isn’t seeing much luck in court.
How The Scandals Have Affected Her Relationships
Although Anna Duggar’s social media biographies may say that she is “happily married”, things have been far from a fairy tale after the arrest of her husband.
As if the entire situation was horrifying enough, it seems that Duggar is having a difficult time coming to terms with her husband’s arrest.
Her opinion of the situation at hand has conflicted with many other family members and friends, causing Duggar to become self-isolated.
Unlike many other members of the family, Anna Duggar believes what her husband has testified and has been blaming Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar for the situation that her husband faces.
Although the couple was originally staying with her husband’s family, they have since moved in with her husband’s third-party guardians, the Rebers.
Duggar decided to join her husband while he was staying with the Rebers because she didn’t feel safe around him alone.
Despite the change in scenery, Anna Duggar has been struggling to get along with Mrs. Maria Reber.
Their relationship has become so disagreeable that Reber has grown tired of housing Anna Duggar.
The stress has clearly been more than she can handle.
Despite the trouble caused by her husband, she continues to pray that the court finds her husband not guilty.
Many of the people close to her have commented about how deep in denial she is about the whole situation and how badly she has been struggling financially due to the lack of payment from TLC and the attorney costs.
It doesn’t help that even one of the individual cases that her husband faces is five times her own net worth.
The Unsteady Future For Anna Duggar
The situation surrounding Anna Duggar’s husband has enveloped her entire life since their marriage in 2008.
Although they were once wealthy enough to afford to live in Washington, DC with six children, Anna Duggar now faces an uncertain future as her husband pays for the crimes he has committed.
The situation serves as a horrifying reminder that your choices affect more than yourself, but those around you as well.
