The Los Angeles Angels have been without one of their superstars in Mike Trout for a little while.
Yesterday, it was learned that he was suffering from a rare back condition, that being a costovertebral dysfunction.
Though Trout seems optimistic that he will play again this season, fans of the Angels are beginning to panic.
This is a team that is well out of postseason contention and one that won’t go anywhere if he is out.
One fan on Twitter pointed out that last year, Trout was optimistic about returning from an ankle injury, but he never did.
However, Angels insider Jeff Fletcher responded in an attempt to calm fans’ angst, saying that after his setback last year, he didn’t say anything else, but after multiple setbacks this year, Trout appears to be optimistic.
Last July, Trout was running the bases and said it felt good and he figured he'd be back soon. Then he had a setback. After the setback, he did not say anything so optimistic for the rest of the season. https://t.co/CD3EHmwhnk

Angels Insider Calms Concerns
Obviously, there’s no telling how things will play out.
Trout will be out for a little while longer.
Fans are worried, but several key Angels insiders believe that Trout will ultimately be okay, which is a sentiment that Trout himself agrees with.
This should help Angels fans a little bit with their concern over their superstar.
Being without him certainly hurts them, but if people are optimistic, especially those close to the team, then Trout should probably be just fine.
Trout does expect to play again before the season is over, so that should be somewhat comforting for Angels fans who are worried about his health.
What Fletcher is saying is that Trout seems more optimistic this year than he ever was last year about returning from his injury.
Trout is hitting .270 this season with 24 home runs and 51 RBI.
He also has a .967 OPS.
