The free agent market is moving once again.
Despite the start of spring training and the end of the offseason, there were still a few notable free agents who had not signed.
However, that has changed for veteran left-hander Matt Moore.
This morning, the lefty signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Angels.
The 33-year-old transitioned from a starter’s role to a relief role in 2022 with the Texas Rangers and enjoyed a strong season, earning an All-Star nod and posting a 1.95 ERA in 63 appearances.
On Twitter, MLB insider Jon Heyman provided the news of the Angels’ latest free agent addition.

Moore came up to the big leagues with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011 as a starter.
He started Game 1 of the ALDS against the Rangers that season.
After several seasons with the Rays, Moore joined the San Francisco Giants.
He then made brief stops with the Rangers, Detroit Tigers, and Philadelphia Phillies before ultimately returning to the Rangers last season.
He’ll stay in the American League West division and will join a bullpen that features Ryan Tepera, Aaron Loup, Jose Suarez, and others.
The Angels fell short of the postseason in 2022, losing 89 games and finishing in third place in the American League Central.
But Moore is just the latest addition for the Angels, who have had a busy offseason, having also added Tyler Anderson, Hunter Renfroe, Brandon Drury, and Gio Urshela.
The team was in need of an extra bullpen piece or two, and have found their man by signing Moore.
