The National Football League features some of the most impressive athletes on Earth.
They have to be in superhuman shape just to get ready for the season, and even that’s not enough sometimes.
However, Kansas City Chiefs’ HC Andy Reid doesn’t seem to care about that at all, at least when it comes to him.
The beloved coach loves a good-old food reference, and he’s never hidden his love for cheeseburgers or high-calorie meals.
That’s why no one was surprised to know how he celebrated winning the Super Bowl on Sunday, and most of you guys may have guessed already.
The legendary coach admitted that he went to grab some Kansas City-style pizza to celebrate winning his second Vince Lombardi trophy, topping it with mushroom and sausage and grabbing a salad on the side to keep his body in line:
“Yeah, I went to Pizza 51,” Reid laughingly said. “That’s why I did. I got a mushroom and sausage pizza, how about that? And a salad, just to make my chubbiness feel good.”
Reid has made countless food-ism references throughout the years, going as far as to say that he loves a team that plays together as much as he loves a prime rib or that he was hungry for both a prime rib and a Super Bowl.
The 64-year-old has never batted an eye about all the online jokes about his weight, and he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who cares about outsiders all that much.
No one is entitled to make comments about other people’s weight, and we should know that by now.
But then again, coach Reid better should start taking care of his body, as his job is quite stressful and demanding and he’s not getting any younger.
