The Denver Nuggets have been one of the most dominant teams in the NBA this season, yet people still don’t seem to take them all that seriously.
The Nuggets have the ultimate homecourt advantage, as playing in the heights of Colorado is quite tough, even for guys in top shape.
They have the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference and a stacked starting lineup, so there should be no room for excuses this time around.
That’s why ESPN analyst Tim Bontemps believes that no NBA player is under more pressure to win the NBA championship right now than Nikola Jokic.
Bontemps explained that Jokic is a two-time reigning MVP looking to take the award home for the third consecutive season, which is why he needs to make a statement now.

Jokic was swept in the playoffs in his first MVP season, and the Nuggets have failed to replicate their regular-season success in the playoffs.
But they’re fully healthy now, and Jokic is playing the best basketball of his career, so he needs to make sure that there’s no doubt that he’s worthy of those MVP awards once and for all.
The Nuggets have played spectacular basketball for the better part of the season, and they have the third-best record overall.
They’ve proven that they can beat contending teams night in and night out, but the playoffs are a whole different thing from the regular season.
So, will Jokic raise to the occasion or will they underperform again?
We’ll have to wait and see.
