Fans expected this to be a tough season for the Arizona Cardinals as soon as DeAndre Hopkins was hit with that suspension.
But with Kyler Murray signing a new contract and the team trading for Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown, there was still some hope that they could hold down the fort in D-Hop’s absence.
Needless to say, that wasn’t the case, as the Cardinals were a disaster from start to finish, up to the point where Kliff Kingsbury finally lost his job after years of underachieving.
Murray got into a bit of a feud with the front office over a ‘homework’ clause on his contract, and then he couldn’t even finish the season due to injuries.
Kingsbury’s questionable decision-making set the team back over and over, and there wasn’t a single positive thing to say about this team in 2022.
As a matter of fact, the Cardinals had such a terrible season that NFL insider Kyle Odegard pointed out that whoever wins the Super Bowl between Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will have a better record at State Farm Stadium than the Cardinals, who play their home games there.

The Cardinals went just 1-8 at home this season, losing to both the Chiefs and Eagles.
They were 3-5 on the road and finished the year on a seven-game losing streak, boasting the worst record in the stacked NFC West Division.
Now, the team enters the offseason with more questions than answers, with no Head Coach and rumors of Hopkins wanting to be traded.
