The NFC East division will be one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL during the 2023 season, as three teams are considered playoff contenders, and two could be legitimate Super Bowl title contenders.
The Philadelphia Eagles have arguably improved their roster throughout the offseason while the Dallas Cowboys have emerged as potentially having the best defense in the league, with star linebacker Micah Parsons leading the way.
With star running back Saquon Barkley back in the fold, the New York Giants might be ready to take the next step after a solid 2022 campaign but might not yet be at the level of the Eagles and Cowboys.
Then there are the Washington Commanders that have only become relevant due to a recent ownership change, but Kevin Wildes of Fox Sports predicts that this struggling franchise will come out on top in the NFC East, as he said on “First Things First” on Thursday.

Wildes makes the case that the Commanders will be a much different team offensively during the upcoming NFL season due to the arrival of former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, which will make Sam Howell and company that much more dynamic on that side of the football.
The analyst also adds that the Commanders defense gave up the third-fewest yards last season in the NFL, which is impressive, but the team still finished in last place in the NFC East with a record of 8-8-1.
Even though anything can happen in the NFL from year to year, Washington coming out on top in a very tough division is a stretch, as a lot will have to go right in the nation’s capital with a young quarterback running the show in order to win a division title.
