Saquon Barkley and the New York Giants were not able to strike a deal at the franchise tag deadline.
This has caused concern among Giants fans, especially considering the rumors of a potential holdout.
In a recent segment of “Speak” on FS1, Emmanuel Acho provided a potential Barkley replacement if he does make that decision.
Dalvin Cook is currently a free agent, and Acho gave his case for him.
“Since Saquon has been in the league, Dalvin Cook has had a better career,” Acho said.

The last contract that Cook had signed was a five-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings that was worth a total of $63 million.
However, the Vikings ended up moving on from Cook during the early stages of the offseason, rendering him a free man.
If he’s looking for employment and is willing to take a pay cut, the Giants could be a good fit for him.
This, of course, would only happen if Barkley sits out for the season.
The Giants used their RB1 heavily last season, giving Barkley 295 carries.
He turned those carries into 1,312 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns, a massive part of their offense.
Despite signing Daniel Jones to a contract extension, it’s unlikely that the Giants will abandon their run game.
Cook showed that he still has plenty of tread left on the tires last season, and could be a perfect plug-and-play option for this team.
The coming weeks for the Giants should be telling, as we will learn more about Barkley’s status with the team moving forward.NEXT: Justin Jefferson Gets A Big Honor In Latest ESPN Ranking
