Patrick Mahomes is widely considered the best quarterback in the NFL right now, with Joe Burrow potentially a close second.
That’s perfectly fine and fair, as both players have earned that right with their stellar play every single week.
Nonetheless, former NFL player Louis Riddick believes it’s time we star putting Jalen Hurts’ name in the conversation as well.
Riddick claims that even though the Philadelphia Eagles lost their offensive coordinator, they still have Nick Sirianni, and most of their starters are coming back.
"Nobody loves Patrick Mahomes more than me. … Joe Burrow is the man. … But Jalen Hurts is coming. … We will have to talk about him in terms of being a top-2, top-3 quarterback."

He cited continuity as one of the many reasons why Hurts should challenge Mahomes and Burrow for the top-QB distinction for years to come.
He raved about his work ethic and determination and how he’s handled himself and his discourse after losing in the Super Bowl.
More than that, Riddick believes Hurts is going to get better with the years and is trending upwards, so it’s time people start taking notice of him.
Riddick also predicted that Hurts would throw for more than 4,000 yards while completing almost 70% of his passes, will continue to have a low touchdown-to-turnover ratio, and will have a quarterback rating of over 100.
In all honesty, all those predictions seemed like hot takes two years ago, but it’s not crazy to think that after watching how Hurts played last season.
If it wasn’t for that injury, there’s a big chance he could’ve ran away with the MVP award, and he was just three points away from a Super Bowl win.
Hurts is coming, and the Eagles aren’t going anywhere.
