When you play in the same city as other major sports teams, it’s always nice to show those teams some love.
This afternoon, the Boston Bruins will play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL Winter Classic, which is an annual event and one that takes place at an outdoor venue.
The Bruins and Penguins will play outdoors at Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox.
Solidarity among a city’s sports teams is important, and the Bruins showed the Red Sox a little love on Monday, as they pulled up to Fenway wearing throwback Red Sox uniforms.

Perhaps it’s fitting that the Bruins have decided to enter Fenway Park honoring their Boston allies.
Boston has four major sports teams, with the Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots as the other two in addition to the Sox and the Bruins.
But it’s always nice to see that solidarity between a city’s major sports teams.
The Bruins had the right idea for today’s Winter Classic, but it’s also a reminder that the game we all know and love is close to returning.
In a little over a month, pitchers and catchers will report to spring training and will be donning their teams’ uniforms.
Baseball season is right around the corner, and it’s clear that the Bruins are excited for the opportunity to see the Red Sox back in action.
The first spring training games will take place at the end of February, and players such as Rafael Devers and Trevor Story will be taking their first hacks soon.
