You know the Houston Astros have been making noise for quite some time when you see 28-year-old Alex Bregman‘s lifetime playoffs stats.
Since 2017, the Astros have made the World Series four times, and the American League Championship Series twice.
In other words, they have been among the last four teams standing every time since 2017, which is insane.
As MLB’s official Twitter account stated it, Bregman is made for the postseason.

It’s impressive he has all those records and stats at such a young age.
He is still theoretically hitting his prime, and with the Astros being so competitive year after year, it’s fair to say he will keep getting chances to add to his totals as long as he remains with the team.
Bregman Is A Historic Postseason Performer For Houston
No third baseman has more home runs in October than Bregman’s 14.
He is also second in RBI with 43 and third in total bases, with 126.
With him, it’s not just the totals: the rate stats and averages are also strong.
While his lifetime .762 postseason OPS may not seem that impressive, he has taken it to .975 so far in 2022.
He was a force in both the Division Series and the Championship Series, with a .333/.375/.600, two home runs, ten hits, and seven RBI in seven games.
He does all this by playing very good defense at third base and serving as a spiritual clubhouse leader.
He is young, but has plenty of experience at the biggest stage.
Bregman is one of the Astros’ most important players as they face the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2022 World Series.
He will need to have a big series for Houston to be in a better position to win.
