The Boston Celtics made their hometown crowd proud on Wednesday night.
They put the Golden State Warriors away in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, securing a big 116-100 victory in front of thousands of screaming, cheering Boston fanatics.
Their support was felt by everyone on the team, including Celtics big man Al Horford.
Al Horford: "The energy from our fans was just contagious. I felt it when I did my shooting slot an hour and a half before the game." Said at that point, he knew the environment would be "different" for a finals game.

Horford spoke of the crowd after the game, saying “the energy from our fans was just contagious. I felt it when I did my shooting slot an hour and a half before the game.”
Boston fans are eager to see their team win their 18th championship and they are incredibly fired up.
In fact, some people are saying they are too fired up.
Bold Boston
Boston has long been known as a city full of people who can be very engaged, to put it gently.
Sure enough, they’re not afraid of making their opinions known.
Certain members of the Warriors took issue with that on Wednesday night.
Head coach Steve Kerr, Klay Thompson, and the wife of Draymond Green all said the attitude of the crowd was vulgar and rude and not very classy.
That’s not what Horford and his team took away from the game.
They saw a crowd that was extremely excited for their squad and were passionate about rooting them on.
That sort of support translated onto the court and helped the team power past the Warriors.
They will need that energy again on Friday night for Game 4 before the series returns to California.
If Boston can win one more game at home, they’ll have a huge 3-1 lead over Golden State.
That will really get the crowd pumped up.
