The Detroit Lions are trying to turn their fortunes around.
They haven’t had a winning season since 2017 and last made the postseason in 2016.
Worst yet, the franchise hasn’t won a playoff game since 1991 when Barry Sanders was still playing.
But recent history might lead to a resurgence for the struggling squad.
Head coach Dan Campbell has made it enjoyable again to play for the Lions.
Meanwhile, second overall draft pick Aidan Hutchinson could turn out to be a defensive cornerstone.
In his final year at Michigan, he had 33 solo tackles and 14 sacks.
The Lions hope that he can replicate those numbers as he plays for his hometown NFL team.
Doing so might give him a ton of individual awards, just like the Ted Hendricks Award, the Lott Trophy, and the Unanimous All-American distinctions he received in 2021.
But while his NFL career is still up to the jury, his ability to entertain already deserves recognition.

Hutchinson sang Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” in one of their team meetings.
What’s more impressive is that everyone joined in the fun and that he knew the lyrics by heart.
Everyone was rocking to his vibe as he reached the chorus.
It’s also fascinating that someone born in 2000 knows a song that was released in 1983.
Hutchinson Hopes To Dance Around Offensive Linemen
It’s worth noting that Jackson premiered the Moonwalk in his performance of this song during Motown’s 25th anniversary.
In comparison, Hutchinson aims to breeze past offensive linemen to get to the quarterback.
The Lions are one of the worst teams in terms of sacking the play-caller and they hope that Hutchinson can improve their performance on that category.
Having more sacks will limit their opponents’ scoring chances.
