Adam Wainwright has been a fan favorite in St. Louis for almost two decades.
Acquired by the St. Louis Cardinals in a trade with the Atlanta Braves in 2003, Wainwright made his debut in 2005 and emerged as a key contributor during their World Series run in 2006, closing out both the NLCS and World Series.
He’s also been a three-time All-Star and has a few 20-win seasons under his belt.
But in addition to his dominance on the mound, Wainwright has been a key charitable voice in the St. Louis Community.
With the Holiday Season upon us and today being “Giving Tuesday,” the veteran right-hander made a pledge to Water Mission, a worldwide charity that seeks to provide safe water to people in rural communities, refugee settlements, and those affected by disasters.

Wainwright Makes Special Charitable Pledge
The 41-year-old ace is best known for his accomplishments on the mound.
But off the field, he has proven time and again that he has a big heart.
Wainwright also is the founder of “Big League Impact,” a charity which partners with professional athletes through fundraising platforms to help people meet basic needs worldwide.
The two-time World Series champion has raised money through fantasy football.
The Cards ace is returning to the team for his final season in 2023.
But long after his imminent retirement, Wainwright will still be a key charitable voice in the St. Louis community and will continue his charitable efforts worldwide through Big League Impact and his partnership with Water Mission.
Wainwright closed out his video by inviting Cardinals fans to donate to Water Mission on this Giving Tuesday.
