With the St. Louis Cardinals‘ 15-6 rout over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday night, Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina now stand alone with the most victories of all-time between a pitcher-catcher battery.
With win No. 203, they passed Warren Spahn and Del Crandall for the top spot.
To clarify, this is team wins as a duo and not wins for Wainwright himself.
After having missed a start due to being placed on the COVID-19 injured list, Wainwright returned in style and had his way with a powerful Giants lineup, going six innings and allowing just two runs while striking out five batters.
The Cardinals made sure to celebrate the duo’s accomplishment, tweeting a graphic which showed the number of wins between the battery over the years.

History Made
This is an amazing accomplishment.
Wainwright and Molina have been at this since all the way back in 2005.
They’ve won two rings together and have been at the center of several historic moments, including the famous strikeout of Carlos Beltran in Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS.
Fast forward to 2022, and they’re still dominating together, even in their advanced ages.
Molina has confirmed that 2022 will be his final season, and in all likelihood, the same can be said for Wainwright.
But that doesn’t mean they can’t still get the job done.
These are two legends who have been doing this a long time.
Cardinals fans know to take in each and every moment they see these two together, so as not to miss anything important in what is likely the final season for both batterymates.
More moments are sure to follow for these two legends.
There’s plenty of season left and the Cardinals are motivated to bring home a third World Series title for Wainwright, Molina, and Albert Pujols.
