Aaron Rodgers has been one of the biggest reasons why the Green Bay Packers have been perennial contenders.
But he’s also been responsible for some of the team’s shortcomings, and we don’t mean just on the field.
His larger-than-life persona has reportedly driven multiple players away, not to mention the fact that he’s never taken a pay cut to help the team build a contender around him.
And while he’s entitled to demand every single penny he can get, it’s evident that it won’t always translate to winning championships.
Now, Rodgers is once again under fire for hinting at the possibility of leaving the team for the third consecutive offseason.
More than that, he’s been mocked for his decision to go on a four-day darkness retreat in which he’ll be all alone in a tiny house in the woods before deciding what to do with his football career.
Notably, Chiefs’ OL Mitchell Schwartz joined the pack and took a shot at Rodgers online, to which the legendary QB replied:
“Be curious. Not judgmental. We are all on our own path, and doing things like this helps me find a greater sense of peace and love for life. Love and respect to you.”

All of a sudden, Rodgers embarked on a somewhat spiritual journey.
He talks about spreading love, enabling his senses, and reaching new states of consciousness, which is all great; he’s got a right to do all those things, and that’s never been the issue.
The problem with him is that he always acts like he’s the smartest guy in the room, and everybody else is just not that smart.
That doesn’t sit well with most people.
Whatever the case, Rodgers is still one of the prime quarterbacks in NFL history, so we hope he finds some clarity about his future soon.
