The Green Bay Packers are once again facing a crossroads.
Fortunately for them, they’ve been in this situation plenty of times, so they should know how to deal with it better than anybody else in the league.
Once again, Aaron Rodgers has hinted at the possibility of leaving the team or retiring.
As per usual, Rodgers has used The Pat McAfee Show to vent his thoughts, stating that he’s confident that he can still play at the highest level in the right situation, whether that’s in Green Bay or not.
Moreover, the reigning NFL MVP added that he’s only going to play if he’s actually confident in his chances of going the distance and taking that Vince Lombardi trophy home:
“There’s no point in coming back to play football unless you think you can win it all,” Rodgers told McAfee.

This time, however, it’s unclear what the Packers could possibly offer to appease him.
I mean, he already signed one of the largest deals in NFL history, and it’s not like their salary cap situation is the best in the league.
If anything, Rodgers has a long history of underperforming when the season is on the line, and it now seems like he’s doing this to drive attention away from that fact.
There’s no denying that he’s one of the greatest, most talented quarterbacks this game has ever seen, but regardless of all the individual accolades and milestones, his lack of postseason success is something people don’t seem to discuss often enough.
So, who knows? Maybe the Packers won’t cave in and will just thank him for his services this time around.
