The St. Louis Cardinals and their fans are rightfully excited to see what top prospect Jordan Walker could bring.
The young slugger has done nothing but hit all spring long and now looks to be in a good position to claim a spot on the team’s Opening Day roster.
Walker picked up two hits on Wednesday as the Cardinals defeated the New York Yankees by a final of 4-0.
Reigning AL MVP Aaron Judge was once in Walker’s shoes.
In 2017, Judge burst onto the scene and earned Rookie of the Year honors.
The veteran slugger shared some important words of wisdom for Walker after the game on Wednesday.
“If you stay pliable and you stay flexible then your body is going to reward you by helping you stay out there.”

Judge is clearly impressed by what Walker has been able to do so far and is interested to see what the future holds for the Cardinals top prospect.
The 30-year-old enjoyed his best season to date in 2022, hitting .311 with 62 home runs and 131 RBI.
Those 62 homers were enough to break an American League record that had stood for six decades.
While it’s too early to say definitively what the future holds for Walker, perhaps he could find himself on a similar path to that of Judge.
Like Judge, Walker possesses incredible power and could one day become a superstar.
He is already being compared to Albert Pujols by several Cardinals fans who are eager to see the slugger in action for the first time.
But Judge’s advice should be helpful for Walker as he moves closer to potentially forcing his way onto the Cards roster and beginning his MLB career.
