Today is a special day for Aaron Judge.
The reigning American League MVP and New York Yankees captain is turning 31.
Last season, Judge hit a total of 62 home runs and ultimately broke the American League single-season record previously held by Roger Maris.
Today, the Yankees wrapped up their three-game series against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.
New York got off to a hot start, taking an early 2-0 lead.
However, in the top of the second inning, they had the bases loaded with just one out.
That’s when Judge came to the plate and was given a very generous birthday present, as he lined one into left field to clear the bases and extend the Yankees lead to 5-0.
On Twitter, the Yankees posted a video of Judge clearing the bases with his clutch double.

Judge has emerged into one of the best players the game has ever seen.
He has dealt with more than his fair share of injury issues, but has fought through them and found a way to stay healthy and produce at a high level.
And there’s nothing like a big clutch hit on your birthday.
Judge certainly got a nice birthday gift from the Twins in that at-bat, and he didn’t waste it either, slashing it into the left field corner to score three runs and clear the bases, seemingly putting the game out of reach.
The reigning AL MVP celebrated his big day in style, coming through for the Yankees in a key spot.
