Aaron Judge Made A Serious Statement Before His Arbitration Hearing

The night didn’t begin well for the New York Yankees as they welcomed the Houston Astros into town for a four-game weekend series.

Alex Bregman got Houston started with a three-run homer to put the Astros up 3-0 early.

The Yankees rallied and it ended up being a back-and-forth affair in the early going.

But after the Yankees tied it in the ninth, Aaron Judge came up big with an RBI single to walk it off for New York.

Today marks his arbitration hearing and Mark Feinsand of MLB.com tweeted about how Judge made a huge statement last night in preparation for his hearing.

Judge’s Heroics

This is a big way to prepare for the hearing.

Judge was one of a few players who was unable to reach a new deal with his team.

The Yankees were also unable to extend his contract in time before Opening Day.

Now, he has his arbitration hearing today and he made a strong case for winning the hearing last night, as he has all season long, continuing to put up MVP-like numbers.

In 260 at-bats, Judge is hitting .304 with 27 home runs and 53 RBI.

He is currently the favorite for the American League MVP Award, and he clearly deserves to get a raise very soon.

It would be a travesty if the Yankees win the hearing, given the kind of numbers Judge is putting up this season.

He’s finally healthy and showing what he is capable of when he remains healthy.

He’s carried the Yankees this year, and now it’s time for him to get the raise he deserves in the arbitration hearing today.

We’ll see what happens in the hearing and if he ultimately wins it.
