Aaron Gordon was one of the biggest names on his team when he was playing for the Orlando Magic but he isn’t spoken about as much now that he’s with the Denver Nuggets.
That’s not a huge surprise because anyone in Denver is quite literally overshadowed by Nikola Jokic.
It’s not like Gordon’s talents have dwindled: his 15 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists last season are a dip below his career-highs but not even close to bad.
Still, his star power has darkened a bit while playing for the Nuggets.

But today is a day of celebration for Gordon because he is turning 27 years old – that’s a reason for a big toast to the big man.
Plus, he could have a great upcoming season because his entire team might be reaching new heights.
Gordon’s star may rise again.
The Return Of Denver
The recent past has been rough for the Denver Nuggets.
Yes, the team is home to Jokic, a two-time back-to-back MVP, but it’s been lacking two of its biggest stars: Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr.
Those two have been off the court for more than a year due to injuries – but they’re both scheduled to return.
When they do, everyone – including Jokic and Gordon – will benefit from their skills instantly.
The team will become a playoff contender again and much of the pressure will be taken off of everyone else who has been struggling to keep the team afloat.
There are many people who are expecting some great, big things from the Nuggets this year.
This will give Gordon another chance to shine and show off all his talents.
More attention will be given to the team this year, which means more attention will also be given to Gordon himself.
