Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers were treated to an amazing game on Wednesday night.
They were expecting a close game and fearful of another loss but, in the end, the Lakers were able to pull out an overtime win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Quite a few guys on the team stepped up to make their huge win possible including LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Troy Brown Jr. and, yes, Russell Westbrook.
But none of those guys was the scoring leader for LA.

Instead, the player who put up the most points on Wednesday was Lonnie Walker IV.
Walker was acquired by the team during the summer and the hope was that he could help offensively and make the team better at scoring from all over the floor.
Wednesday night was his big coming-out party for LA and now fans are hugely supportive of Walker and all that he can do.
The Rise of Sky Walker
Walker ended the night with 28 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block.
This is obviously miles ahead of his current 2022-23 average of 16.1 points and 3.3 rebounds.
It’s also much, much better than his career average of 9.6 points and 2.4 rebounds.
This has been a huge season for Walker so far.
In his previous seasons in the league with the San Antonio Spurs, he was usually a bench player who could onto the court late in the game to give the Spurs an offensive boost.
But he’s now started in all seven games for the Lakers.
And his 32.7 minutes per game is also very impressive and shows that head coach Darvin Ham has a lot of faith in the young man.
After Wednesday night’s game, Ham isn’t alone.
