The Memphis Grizzlies are the second-best team in their conference, poised for one of their greatest postseasons in years.
They have found so much success this year, partly because of the work of superstar Ja Morant.
But it sounds like the team will be without him for some time.
Shams Charania was on FanDuel TV and discussed the amount of time Morant will miss with his team due to a recent video of him brandishing a gun at a nightclub.
Charania made it clear that Grizzlies fans shouldn’t expect to see Morant very soon.

“Ja Morant will be away from the team for the foreseeable future. The league could suspend him even on top of the two games that he’s already received,” Charania said.
Charania noted that while the team has suspended Morant for just two games, the young star has said that he’s going to “take some time away to get help” and that amount of time could be fairly long.
Additionally, the NBA is investigating Morant’s recent behavior.
When their investigation comes to an end, the league may decide to hold him out of more games, possibly for weeks or even months.
From a technical standpoint, Morant’s career is at a wonderful place.
The guard is averaging 27.1 points, 6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists a game.
But his off-court behavior is putting his future at risk and he could soon be seen as an unpredictable and controversial figure.
The Grizzlies have multiple players who can carry the load without Morant but there is no doubt he will be missed during his time away.
