We still have several weeks of the NBA regular season.
There is a lot to be determined, like which teams will end up at the top of each conference and who will win it all in the playoffs and Finals.
But even though there is plenty of ambiguity, some things are clear.
We definitely know who the worst teams in the league are right now.
NBA writer Keith Smith pointed out that the Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, and San Antonio Spurs have all officially been eliminated from postseason contention.
These three teams will continue to play, and they might secure a few more wins, but there is now literally no chance of them making the playoffs.

This of course isn’t a big surprise.
All season long, these were three of the worst teams throughout the NBA.
The Pistons hold a 15-52 record, while the Rockets aren’t much better at 16-49, and the Spurs are at 16-49.
Although this news isn’t a shock, it’s still a big deal to see each of them be eliminated from postseason contention.
That’s because one of these squads now has a great chance at landing incoming NBA rookie Victor Wembanyama in the NBA Draft this summer.
Wembanyama could be a league-changing presence, one of the best draft prospects in years.
Great attention has been paid to the young French player for a long time and in just a few months, the Pistons, Rockets, or Spurs could be the team lucky enough to land him.
These three teams will limp across the finish line in the next few weeks but because of this bad year, one of them could look wildly different at the start of next season.
